Actually, it was just the offices and brewery-shop that were white; the rest of the brewery, in the background, was built of ordinary brick. It had a tall chimney, just visible above the corner-entrance in the background. The cross-shaped lightning-conductor on top of it features in the Early Days story Chris goes to Devonshire Road hospital.
